Future of Gaming: New Spider-Man, Demon Souls Remake and PS5 Look

June 11, 2020

The Future of Gaming event from Sony has just ended and we’ve gathered the most important info for you. Here you go:

  • Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is probably already in development, but first we will get another Spider-Man game from Insomniac Games — a spin-off called Miles Morales.

  • The All In! Games publisher and the PolyAmorous studio showed the gameplay trailer of Paradise Lost — an adventure in a world where World War II lasted 20 years and ended with a nuclear attack.

  • We won’t be left without the Sony main racing series — the corporation introduced the Gran Turismo 7 together with Polyphony Digital. Details and the release date will be known later.

  • IO Interactive announced Hitman 3 — the last part of the trilogy. The stealth action release is scheduled for January 2021.

  • Another exclusive PlayStation 5 from Insomniac Games is Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. We can’t help but notice that the picture looks very beautiful!

  • PlayStation 5 will get the LittleBigPlanet spin-off called Sackboy: A Big Adventure from Sumo Digital. The creators promise an exciting and expressive control system and a cooperative, apparently for four people.

  • Tango Gameworks Studio and the legendary game-designer Shinji Mikami presented the debut gameplay trailer of GhostWire: Tokyo, which was announced last year. Looks absolutely badass.

  • So, those rumors that Bluepoint Games is preparing the Demon’s Souls remake are now fact! The game will appear on PlayStation 5. SIE Japan Studio is also involved in development.

  • Another rumor has been confirmed — Resident Evil 8 does have the subtitle Village. Judging by the debut trailer, Chris Redfield will really be a controversial character this time. The game will see the light of day in 2021.

  • A third rumor turns into reality. Guerrilla Games announced the sequel Horizon: Zero Dawn called Horizon: Forbidden West. In this new adventure, Eloy will travel westward to meet new people and explore uncharted locations.

  • Sony showed the appearance of PlayStation 5 at the end of its presentation. Also they announced the second version of the console — PS5 Digital Edition. It has no drive for physical disks. Prices are not yet specified.
