February 24, 2020

New info about Xbox Series X has arrived from the company’s official blog, posted by the head of Xbox himself, Phil Spencer. We made a summary for you:

  • GPU is built on RDNA 2 and targeting 12 TFLOPS of computing power; CPU is built on Zen 2, support of 120 FPS
  • DirectX ray tracing, which allows you to create realistic lighting
  • Crossbuy for all Xbox Game Studios games. If you buy Halo Infinite, it will be available on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X. Other publishers and developers will choose it according to their desire
  • Games for Xbox One and Xbox 360 will run faster and better without the need for additional optimization from developers
  • Custom SSD and the ability to resume one of several games running on the console without loading screens or delay
  • Dynamic Latency Input (DLI)
  • HDMI 2.1 which features Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR)

More info should be given during E3 2020. It feels like Microsoft and Sony are playing chess and both of them have no wish to reveal the details of their next generation consoles before each other. All we need to do is have patience and wait for the info.
